The app
Convertion works entirely on your Mac. The files you convert are never uploaded, read or kept anywhere else, and the app works offline too. There is no account, no analytics and no advertising.
Update check
Each time it starts, the app downloads a small file from convertion.app to see whether a new version is out. The request carries only what any web request does, such as your IP address, and it isn’t tied to you or to your files. You can turn it off in the app’s settings.
This website
The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking tools. It remembers your language and the day or night theme in your browser’s own storage: that information never leaves your device.
Download counts
When you download Convertion, or when the app checks for updates, the server counts the event together with the country, the language, the site you came from and the version. Your IP address isn’t stored and there are no cookies or identifiers: these are counts of events, not of people.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.
Cloudflare’s privacy policyFonts
The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers to fetch them.
Google’s privacy policyDonations
The Support button takes you to Buy Me a Coffee. Whatever you share there is handled by them, under their own policy.
Buy Me a Coffee’s privacy policyWho is behind it
Convertion is made by Fabio Ottaviani, as an individual. Since neither the app nor the site collects personal data, there is nothing stored to look up or delete. For any question, write to me on LinkedIn. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
